Eurovision 2014 Winner Austrian Drag Queen Conchita Wurst is not just a Bearded Trend-Setter but a Modern Symbol of Acceptance! Europe Voted!
Born as, Tom Neuwirth, on November 6th, 1988, he started performing, as his alter ego, the glamorous bearded drag queen, Conchita Wurst in 2011. Conchita became quite a star and a symbol for tolerance, and artistic freedom in Austria. After winning Eurovision 2014, she is the queen of the internet, even though no one really remembers her song, we all recognize her as symbol of modern times acceptance! It's great that, today you can be a boy or a girl, or a trans, who looks like a pageant queen with fake hair and fake eye-lashes and a beard, and people will accept you and love you, because it's cool with us!
As Conchita says: 'Be the best version of yourself rather that a bad copy of someone else!'
Anche quest'anno è finito Eurovision 2014 Song Contest e l'Europa ha scelto come il vincitore, Conchita Wurst dall' Austria con la canzone 'Rise like a Phoenix'. L'artista è innegabilmente di gran talento, ma la canzone, chi se la ricorda più?! Conchita, d'altro lato è tutto un'altra storia!!
L'artista nato come Tom Neuwirth, il 6 Novembre, 1988, ha cominciato ad esibirsi, con il suo 'drag queen' alter-ego, Conchita Wurst in 2011. Conchita è diventata molto famosa in Austria, sia per le sue doti artistiche, che come il simbolo di toleranza. Dopo aver vinto il Eurovision 2014, l'artista, ha conquistato l'Europa e sta spopolando sul web! Anche se nessuno di noi si ricorda bene la sua canzone, tutti noi riconosciamo in Conchita il moderno simbolo della toleranza! Penso sia fantastico che oggi uno può essere maschio o femmina, o trans con la barba ed extensions e tutti noi lo accettiamo, cosi com'è, magari scherado, ma in fondo senza giudizi o pretese!
Come dice Conchita: 'Sii la migliore versione di te stesso, piuttosto che una brutta copia di qualcun'altro!'

Eurovision 2014 First Semi-finals Sum Ups
The First Semi-Finals of Eurovision Song Contest took place last night, where 16 countries were participating for 10 places in the Finals, that will take place Saturday, May 10th!!
However, if you missed the show last night, here are the highlights for you! Starting from the 10 countries that passed yesterdays competition and are going into the finals (along with other 10 winners of Second Semi-Finals, that will take place tomorrow, May 8th and 6 pre-qualified countries, that are UK, Spain, Germany, France, Italy and of course, last year's winner Denmark)!
Il primo turno di Semi-finali di Eurovision Song Contest si è svolto ieri sera; hanno gareggiato 16 paesi per i 10 posti in Finale, che si terrà questo Sabato, 10 Maggio e potremmo seguirla in diretta su Rai2 dalle 21!! Non mancate, dato che l'Italia si presenterà in Finale con la bravissima, Emma Marrone!!
Se vi siete persi lo spettacolo di ieri sera, qua troverette tutti aggiornamenti, cominciando con i 10 paesi, che si sono qualificati per la Finale (ovviamente in Finale ci saranno anche i 10 paese delle Seconda Semi-Finale, che si terrà domani e i 6 paesi pre-qualificati, che sono il Regno Unito, Spagna, Germania, Francia, Italia e la vincitrice dell'anno scorso la Danimarca).
However, lets take a step back and look at last night's competition!!
The best girl interpreter was Mariya Yaremchuk from Ukraine (and I am not just saying it, because I am of Uki origins)! The girl is very cute (the Italian commentator and my boyfriend were all literally drooling over her), she got a great stage presence, her voice is pleasant and her song 'Tick-Tock' is very catchy. Apparently this hottie had composed the music to 'Tick-Tock' herself and was one of the co-writers of the lyrics! What can we say, beautiful and talented, could make a winning combo, but judge for yourself!
Quindi, facciamo un passo indietro per valutare la gara di ieri sera!!
La migliore interprete femminile della serata era Mariya Yaremchuk, da Ucraina (e non lo dico solo, perchè ho origini Ucraine)! La ragazza è molto bellina (il commentatore ed il mio ragazzo le sbavavano dietro tutta la serata), ha una grande presenza scenica, la sua voce è piacievole e la sua canzone 'Tick-Tock' è molto orecchievole, e suona già sulle radio italiane. Apparentemente, Mariya ha composto la musica ed ha co-scritto le parole di 'Tick-Tock'! Cosa si può dire di più, magari questa combinazione di bellezza e talento saranno la combinazione vincente per un paese, che adesso ha bisogno un pò di unità!
The best boy interpreter (ohh, yes ladies, we also have something to enjoy) was Andràs Kàlly - Saunders competing for Hungary. In reality, the boy was born in NYC from a Hungarian model mother and an American soul-singer, producer father, so we know where the talent and good looks come from!! Check out his song 'Running' and ladies, I know it's hard, but lets try to keep calm!
Il miglior interprete maschile (ohh si, ragazze, c'era anche qualcosa per noi) era Andràs Kàlly - Saunders, che cantava per Ungheria. In realtà, lui è nato in NYC, da una madre, modella, ungherese e padre, un cantante e produttore, americano, quindi possiamo intuire, da dove vengono il suo talento e doti fisiche!
The best show preparation goes to the Russian twins Anastasija and Maria Tolmachevy, the girls are only 17, but they were on the dot in performing their song 'Shine' and watch their hair, it's awesome!
La migliore preparazione scenica va alle gemelline Russe, Anastasija e Maria Tolmachevy; le sorelle hanno solo 17 anni, ma erano preparatissime!! Guardate la loro esibizione della canzone 'Shine' ed ammirate la co-ordinazione e trucchi dei capelli!
La nomina per le gambe più sexy della competizione (lo so, lo so, le gambe non sono un criterio della gala, ma non potevo togliere gli occhi dalle gambe di questa ragazza), ha anche una voce fantastica e una determinazione invidiabile (ha provato per ben 7 volte per finalmente essere scelta per rappresentare Norwegia in Eurovision 2014)!! Eccovi, Sanna Nielsen, che canta 'Undo'.
The cuttest couple in the competition was The Common Linnets from Netherlands! They are both are incredibly good looking (we all know those Dutch people are hot) and very talented! There is just one thing with their song, 'Calm After the Storm', it evidently reminds a bit too much of another song.. in every breath they take.. Ouch!! Judge it for yourself!
La copia più bella della Prima Semi-Finale era The Common Linnets da Olanda! Entrambi sono molto affascinanti (lo sapiamo benissimo, che quel popolo di Olandesi produce dei fighissimi) e sono anche molto talentuosi! C'è solo un piccolo-grande dettaglio con la loro bella canzone, 'Calm After the Storm', assomiglia un pò troppo ad un'altra bellissima canzone, vediamo.. every breath you take.., vi dice qualcosa.. oopps! Giudicate voi!!
The compliments for singing in their language go to Sergej Cetkovic from Montenegro, with his song 'Moj Svijet' (My Light), who we will see again in Finals, and to Suzy from Portugal, with her song 'Quero Ser Tua' (I want to be Yours), who did not make the Finals, but was fun to watch! In any way, these were the only two participants who had the courage to sing in their language and not in English, what in my opinion deserves some credit!
I complimenti per aver cantato nella propria lingua vanno a Sergej Cetkovic di Montenegro con la canzone 'Moj Svijet' (La Mia Luce), che vedremo ancora in Finale e a Suzy la semi Brittney Spears Portugese con la canzone 'Quero Ser Tua' (Voglio Esser Tua), che non ha passato la selezione, ma era divertente da vedere! In ogni modo, meritano un pò di credito, dato che erano gli unici 2 di tutti i 16 concorenti, che avevano cantato nella loro lingua e non in inglese!

The sexiest legs in the competition (I know, I know that is not a criteria for judging, but this girl got legs, that I couldn't take my eyes off them), she also has an awesome voice and an admirable determination (the girl tried 7 times for the competition, until she got chosen to represent Norway in 2014, you go girl)! Eurovision 2014 in Copenhagen Denmark
I am super excited, as this week starts Eurovision 2014 Annual Song Contest, it first started in 1956 and grew to become the largest singing competition in the world!! The contest had launched classics like 'Nel Blu Dipinto di Blu' by Domenico Modugno, who was representing Italy and won a third place in 1958, becoming world famous!Sono super, super contenta, perchè questa settimana inizia Eurovision 2014 Annual Song Contest, ch'era cominciato ancora in lontano 1956 and cresciuto a diventare uno dei più importanti competizioni della canzone del mondo! Il concorso aveva lanciato classici come 'Nel Blu Dipinto di Blu' di Domenico Modugno, che aveva vinto il terzo posto in 1958, guadagnandosi la fama mondiale!
Other famous winners were ABBA (well, who doesn't love them), who won the contest in 1974 with 'Waterloo', that became group's number 1 hit and sold close to 6 million copies worldwide!
Altri famosissimi vincitori erano ABBA (chi non adora questi ragazzi, saranno stati famosi nel epoca dei nostri genitori, ma io gli canticchio sempre volentieri), avevano vinto la competizione in 1974 con 'Waterloo', che era diventato il loro successo numero1, vendendo 6 millioni di copie nel mondo!
My fellow Canadian, super talented, Celion Dion, won while representing Switzerland in 1988, with the song 'Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi!'
La famosissima, talentuosa, franco Canadese, Celine Dion, aveva vinto Eurovision in 1988 rappresentando Svizzera con la canzone 'Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi!'
Last year the competition held in Malmo, Sweden was tough and full of energy and enthusiasm! The winner came out to be a very sassy 20 year old, Danish singer, Emmelie De Forest with her song 'Only Teardrops'! Check it out!
L'anno scorso il concorso si era svolto a Malmo in Svezia, l'avevo seguito con gran entusiasmo e divertimento. La gara era dura e molto carica, ma la vincitrice era uscita una graziosa ragazzina 20-enne Danese, Emmelie De Forest con la sua canzone 'Only Teardrops'!
This year, Eurovision 2014, will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark (thanks to last year's winner Emmelie De Forest, in fact, the competition moves each year to the country of the winner), the Opening Red Carpet Ceremony was Sunday at 6 pm and we checked out some of our favorite stars!!
Quest'anno, Eurovision 2014, si terrà in Copenhagen, Danimarca (grazie alla vincitrice dell'anno scorso, dato che il concorso si sposta di anno in anno nel paese del vincitore), la Gala di Apertura Red Carpet era Domenica alle 6 di sera e siamo andati a curiosare!!

Chic and very elegant, Mariya Yaremchuk for Ukraine, a country that is divided by civil battleships right now, maybe she will be able to bring a little national unity to a country that really needs these days!
Chicchissima e molto elegante, era Mariya Yaremchuk, che rappresenta Ucraina, il paese che adesso sta soffrendo tanto, diviso dagli scontri civili, magari proprio un tiffo nazionale per un'artista, semplice e bella, porterà un pò di unità anche a loro!
